I should be studying for FI 414 right now being at work and all and all I do is study, play on facebook/twitter, play a few games and blog. I wrote some yesterday, but I deleted it because it didnt turn out the way I wanted it to. It was mostly about one of my favorite pieces of scripture Eph 6 : 10-18
10.Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11.Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13.Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14.Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15.and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16.In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17.Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
It went more in depth but after I wrote it, something didnt seem right. So I just got rid of it and thought posting the scrpiture was good enough.
So, I am a somewhat sentimental person. I keep a few things here or there that remind me of something and whatnot. What I have had in my wallet for sometime now is a small piece of paper that I got out of a fortune cookie from a long time ago. "Good things are coming to you in due course of time."....in bed. Good things are always around me, but this time I have been slapped in the face with good things. I am truely blessed for it as well. The time for that piece of paper is up, I feel real goofy giving it to someone else but it gave me hope, hope kept me afloat for a long time. Maybe it will do the same for this person.
The tv show "Kings" is a modern story of David and it makes me want to reread the story. Just what I need, another TV show to watch. This one however will be an online only event, when I get free time I will watch the previous weeks episode.
